Art Attack! 2026 is a three-month festival about creative expression. Throughout July, August and September, Art Attack focuses on showcasing the makers and creatives from the region. More information on each event in the calendar beneath.

Bites and Beats

Council is turning up the volume across the Central Highlands for Bites and Beats, a vibrant live music series, bringing local talent to life over four Saturday evenings in Capella, Blackwater, Emerald and Springsure! This exciting program will transform public spaces into buzzing community hubs, featuring a diverse lineup of homegrown musicians.

 

The series is all about celebrating local creativity, getting communities moving, and creating memorable nights out under the stars. By showcasing the incredible musical talent in our region, we’re building connections, supporting artists, and bringing the Central Highlands together—one gig at a time!

Make and take

Join us for a fun and creative session at the Emerald Gallery! This is your chance be creative and try out some new materials. No experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to create.

Art Precinct Open Day

Council is partnering with local art groups across the region to host a Community Arts Day on 11 July, bringing together artists, makers and community groups.

Artisan Market Day
The grassed area behind the library will come alive with a bustling artisan market, featuring marquee tents, unique stalls, and locally handmade treasures. 

Creative Workshops 
Jump into interactive art-making spaces throughout the day. Try your hand at sewing, painting, pottery and more.
