• Weekly Sales: Combined fat and store sale every Thursday, commencing at 8.00 am.
• Annual Feature Sales: Feature Feeder and Weaner Sales on the first Tuesday of June, July and August each year.

• Curfew: All sale cattle must arrive by 7:00 pm on the Wednesday evening prior to the sale.
• NLIS Compliance: Cattle are scanned in accordance with the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) prior to sale.

1. Public Areas Only: Entry is restricted to designated public access areas such as catwalks and viewing platforms. Entry into operational or restricted zones is prohibited without prior authorisation.
2. Children: All persons under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times. Entry may be restricted for children under a certain age depending on the activity or risk level.
3. Dogs: All dogs must be under effective control and muzzled. Not allowed in and around cattle.
4. Clean entry: Visitors must wear clean clothing and closed in footwear. Boots should not be excessively dirty.
5. Recent overseas travel: Individuals who have visited overseas livestock facilities or farms within the past 7 days are advised not to enter the saleyard.
6. No outside feed: Visitors must not bring feed or fodder into the saleyard.
7. Induction: All contractors, agents, or individuals conducting business on site must complete a site induction prior to entry.
8. Machinery and Equipment: No unauthorised operation of saleyard machinery, plant or equipment is permitted.
9. Smoking: Permitted only in designated smoking areas.
10. Emergency Procedures: All persons must comply with all emergency instructions and evacuation procedures as directed by staff.
11. No Interference: Visitors must not touch, feed, or interfere with livestock.
12. Respectful Behaviour: Aggressive, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour may result in your removal from the premises.–

13. 13. Assumption of Risk: You enter the premises at your own risk. Saleyards are operational livestock facilities and may present hazards including, but not limited to, moving animals, vehicles, machinery, uneven surfaces, and biosecurity risks.
    14. Indemnity: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Central Highlands Regional Council, its employees, agents, and contractors from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, liability, losses, damages, costs (including legal costs) or expenses arising out of or in connection with:
        • Your entry into or presence at the saleyard;
        • Any breach of these Conditions of Entry;
        • Any act or omission by you that causes injury, damage, or loss to any person, property, or livestock.
    15. Waiver of Claims: You waive any and all rights to claim against Central Highlands Regional Council for any injury, loss, or damage suffered by you or your property while on the premises, except to the extent injury, loss or damage was caused by the actual negligence of the Central Highlands Regional Council.
    16. Compliance: You agree to comply with all signage, directions from staff, and applicable laws and regulations while on the premises.
    17. LinkSafe Induction: No contractor is authorised to commence work onsite without prior approval from Council and successful completion of the LinkSafe induction process for both Council and the Emerald Saleyards.
