Council formally welcomes 16 new citizens in March citizenship ceremony

This week, 16 Central Highlands residents from 7 countries were warmly welcomed as Australian citizens at a ceremony held in the Emerald Council Chambers. 

Our new citizens hail from Philippines, China, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Belgium, South Africa, and India. 

Citizenship is the bond that unites us as Australians, and council is pleased to be able to offer these ceremonies as a way of celebrating community members who make the Central Highlands a thriving and welcoming place to live and work. 

Congratulations to all those becoming Australian citizens!
