Public notice – Level 1 water restrictions, Rolleston

Posted on September 1, 2026

Please be advised that from Tuesday 1 September 2026, Rolleston has moved to Level 1 water restrictions.

This change is due to current dam levels. These restrictions have been introduced to help conserve water and extend Rolleston’s available water supply.

Key changes under Level 1 water restrictions include:

  • Reduced hours for lawn sprinkler use.
  • Reduced hours for garden bed and shrub sprinklers, as well as micro-spray and drip irrigation systems.

For watering schedules, tips, and further details on restriction levels, please visit council’s water restrictions webpage.
