Public notice: Lochlees landfill temporarily closed

UPDATE 20/10/23: Lochlees Landfill has reopened.

Please be advised that Lochlees Landfill will be temporarily closed due to an unforeseen fire on the premises.

Please avoid the area, as arriving on the scene may result in blocked entrances for emergency response teams.

The Emerald Waste Transfer Station on Glasson Street, Emerald remains open during its scheduled hours.

Council will update the community when Lochlees Landfill reopens.
