Stay cool in the pool as aquatic centres reopen

With warmer weather on the way, the Central Highlands’ aquatic centres are ready to welcome the community back for another season of swimming, fun and fitness.
- Blackwater Aquatic Centre: Reopens 15 September
- Capella Aquatic Centre: 18 August
- Emerald Aquatic Centre: 25 August
- Rolleston Aquatic Centre: 29 August
- Sapphire Aquatic Centre: 3 September
Central Highlands Regional Council Mayor Janice Moriarty said the pool season is always a much-anticipated time of year.
‘Whether you’re training, learning to swim, or just cooling off with friends and family, our aquatic centres are an important part of community life in the warmer months,’ Mayor Moriarty said.
The Springsure Aquatic Centre will remain closed for the 2024-25 swimming season while undergoing a $12.5 million upgrade. The project is proudly funded under Round 2 and 3 of the Resources Community Infrastructure Fund ($10 million), in partnership with Central Highlands Regional Council ($2.5 million). The new facility is on track for completion in 2026.
