Reflections of the Future exhibition opens at 6 pm on Friday 2 October at the Emerald Art Gallery.

Highlights include works from the Central Highlands Regional Council’s art collection, local artist exhibitions, historical photographs, and a special live performance by acclaimed vocalist Emily Garth.

The free exhibition celebrates the stories, creativity, and history of the Central Highlands.

Visitors can explore artworks from the council collection alongside historical photographs. These photographs show the construction of the Emerald Council building and Art Gallery, as well as public artworks installed across the region.

Local artists Nicole Pace, Raelene Bock, Tara Lewis, and Ron Pearce present works inspired by the concept of ‘lasting a day’. Their pieces explore fleeting moments, changing landscapes, and lasting memories.

Opening night patrons will also enjoy a special performance by Emily Garth. Emily is an internationally experienced vocalist known for her work in opera, musical theatre and cabaret. She also supports regional arts through initiatives such as Emerald Sings, the local choir.

Join us from 6 pm on Friday 2 October and be part of this inspiring celebration of art and history within the Central Highlands.
